The Role of Village Government in Efforts to Improve the Welfare of Fishermen's Communities In Corawali Village, Tanete Rilau District Barru Regency

The research objective to be achieved is to find out the role of the village government in an effort to improve the welfare of the fishing community in Corawali village, Tanete Rilau sub-district, Barru district. This type of research is a type of qualitative research, this research was conducted using a method that is qualitative descriptive analysis. The analysis leads to a detailed and in-depth description. This type of research is also a research method that is focused on a particular case to be observed and analyzed carefully to completion. The case in question can be an individual or a group. The results of this study indicate that the economic conditions of the people in Corawali Village are sources of income from farmers, traders, civil servants and others. However, some of the people who live in Corawali Village, especially in Aluppangnge Hamlet, derive their income from fishermen. The role of the village government in collaboration with the Fisheries and Maritime Service of Barru Regency has helped the lives of the fishing community in Corawali Village through assistance and empowerment of fishermen, although not so optimal.
