Publication Ethic
GoodWill Journal of Economics, Management, and Accounting (GJEMA) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The journal adheres to the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure transparent, fair, and responsible publishing practices.
1. Responsibilities of Authors
- Manuscripts submitted must be original, not previously published, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- Authors must ensure accuracy of data, results, and citations, and avoid fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism.
- Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
- All sources of funding and support should be transparently acknowledged.
- Authors are responsible for correcting errors or inaccuracies in their published work when necessary.
2. Responsibilities of Reviewers (Peer Reviewers / Mitra Bestari)
- Reviewers must provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback on manuscripts.
- Reviewers must maintain confidentiality regarding the manuscripts they evaluate.
- Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and refrain from reviewing manuscripts where they have a competing interest.
- Reviewers should alert the Editor if they suspect ethical violations, including plagiarism or fraudulent data.
3. Responsibilities of Editors and Editorial Board (Dewan Penyunting)
- Editors are responsible for ensuring fair, impartial, and timely decision-making on manuscript submissions.
- Editors must maintain confidentiality regarding manuscripts and peer review comments.
- Editors should prevent conflicts of interest and manage ethical issues in submissions, including plagiarism, data fabrication, or authorship disputes.
- The editorial board must promote ethical publishing practices and adherence to COPE guidelines.
4. Plagiarism and Misconduct
- GJEMA uses plagiarism detection software to check all submitted manuscripts.
- Plagiarism, duplicate submission, data fabrication, and other forms of academic misconduct will result in immediate rejection and potential notification to the authors’ institutions.
- All parties involved in publishing are expected to report suspected misconduct to the Editor-in-Chief.
5. Correction and Retraction Policy
- Corrections or retractions will be published if errors, inaccuracies, or ethical violations are discovered after publication.
- Authors or readers may report errors to the Editorial Office for investigation.
- The journal ensures transparency in issuing corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern.
6. Ethical Standards
All authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to follow high ethical standards in research and publication. Any violations will be handled according to COPE guidelines to maintain the integrity and quality of the journal.
